Backup and Recovery

The PD tool consists of three components: Web App, Database and API Host

It is recommended that each of these should be backed up to protect against issues arising.

Retention/strategy should be in accordance with any internal standards. By default we use:

Database - Retain daily backups for 14 days and a weekly backup for 4 months Web App - Retain backups for 30 Days (Days 1-3: hourly backups retained, Days 4-14: every third hourly backup retained, Days 15-30: every sixth hourly backup retained.) API Host - Retain daily backups for 30 Days

These should be checked regularly, and restores tested intermittently to ensure there is a fallback for any issues that occur.
