Using the Spreadsheet for Manual Categorisation
**Make sure that you follow the File Requirements.
1. Open both your data and the Spreadsheet on your computer at the same time.
2. Copy and paste the mandatory SITEID, STUDYID, and DVSPONDES columns from your dataset into the corresponding columns in the spreadsheet. Be careful not to overwrite the existing column headers. To ensure this, do not copy any titles from the dataset, and paste the data into the grey-coloured cell just below the relevant title in the spreadsheet.
3. Now, go through all of the data and categorise each DVSPONDES by double-clicking on the DVCAT and DVDECOD cell next to it. When you double-click on the cell, you will see an arrow appearing for drop-down selection.
4. First, select the relevant DVCAT for each DVSPONDES using the dropdown function, then choose the corresponding DVDECOD. If you enter them manually, ensure they match the exact format of the dropdown choices. It is advised to use the dropdown function to avoid errors when manually typing DVCAT and DVDECODs to prevent potential data load errors.
If you would like to select multiple DVCATs or DVDECODs you can do so by repeating the 4th step. Then you will see the selected categories appear in the cell, divided by a semi-colon ";". You can choose as many DVCATs or DVDECODs as you need.
Additionally, if there are non-categorised data in the data file you uploaded those data will be included in the overall visualisation but not in detailed visualisations where you can see DVCATs and DVDECODs.
5. Save the file to your computer.
Continue to Data Upload.
